Zahra Vaughn returned to ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ this spring for one course and one course only. She knew it would be a challenge, but she also knew the unique experience would help her prepare for what comes next.

ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ celebrated the Class of 2026 on Wednesday, with College and community leaders encouraging graduates to be confident and persistent in pursuing the goals they’ve set for their futures.

SUNY has recognized five ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ faculty and staff members for their outstanding career contributions to ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ and its students by honoring them with the prestigious Chancellor’s Award for Excellence.

Two members of ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ’s Class of 2026 were recognized for their academic and leadership achievements this week when they received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence (CASE).

ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ and the ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ County Community College Foundation are increasing available scholarships for high school students who earned credits in ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ’s concurrent enrollment offerings.

Today the College of Nursing at SUNY Upstate Medical University and ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ announced a partnership to create two new educational pathways designed to address the growing demand for nurses in Central New York and throughout New York State by enabling students to graduate sooner and enter the healthcare workforce.

State University of New York Chancellor John B. King Jr. today visited SUNY ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ as part of the SUNY Reconnect Tour. Chancellor King has been visiting SUNY community colleges throughout the state to promote New York's free community college program for adult learners, which began at the start of Fall 2025. Under Governor Kathy Hochul's SUNY Reconnect initiative, New York State is providing free tuition, fees, books, and supplies for adults ages 25-55 who don't already have a college degree to pursue an associate degree in a high-demand field.

A student enrolled in ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ’s Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) was recently recognized by SUNY Chancellor John B. King Jr. for her dedication and academic achievements.
